To safeguard customers’ interests and provide the latest market intelligence on high-risk and counterfeit electronic components, the QA Centre has consolidated the parts intercepted during Tier 1 and Tier 2 inspections conducted in June 2026.

What is Tier 1 inspection? Tier 1 inspection focuses on label and packaging verification. Shipment labels and packaging are compared against original references stored in the internal label database. As a result, this inspection stage achieves an interception rate of 90% and effectively identifies suspicious components before further processing.

What is Tier 2 inspection? Tier 2 inspection involves detailed visual and marking analysis using a LEICA microscope with magnification of up to 160x. Our QC engineers inspect both the exterior and interior surfaces of components to verify dimensions and identify scratches, polishing, breakage or oxidation on the BGA. Tier 2 inspection boasts a 100％ interception rate.

Furthermore, this inspection process achieves a 100% interception rate and serves as a critical safeguard against counterfeit electronic components from reaching our valued customers.
